KP Assembly Member Abdul Karim Tordheer’s Hujra Attacked in Swabi; Brother, Three Gunmen Reportedly Abducted

SWABI: The hujra (guest house) of Abdul Karim Tordheer, a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from PK-51, was allegedly raided by unidentified armed men late Tuesday night, with reports that his brother, Abdul Nasir, and three security guards were abducted from the premises.

According to sources, the armed men arrived at the hujra at around 1:30 a.m. in three vehicles. They allegedly tried to force open the main entrance and opened fire when resistance was offered, damaging the gate.

Sources said the attackers overpowered the security guards present at the hujra and allegedly subjected them to violence. They subsequently took Abdul Karim Tordheer’s brother, Abdul Nasir, and three security guards with them.

The attackers also allegedly damaged security cameras installed at the hujra and checked the camera recordings. They reportedly opened fire on a private vehicle, causing damage to it.

The incident has caused concern in the area, while police have launched an investigation. However, there has been no official confirmation so far regarding the alleged abduction of Abdul Nasir and the three security guards.

Police are conducting a search operation to trace the suspects and ascertain the whereabouts of the reported abductees.
