Pakistan-Mediated US-Iran Draft Agreement May Be Announced Within Hours

A possible breakthrough agreement between the United States and Iran, reportedly mediated by Pakistan, could be announced within hours, according to claims circulating from sources cited by Al Arabiya.
According to the reported draft terms, the proposed agreement includes an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire covering land, sea and air operations. Both sides would also commit to refraining from targeting military, civilian or economic infrastructure.
The reported framework further calls for an end to military operations and media hostilities, while emphasizing respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in internal affairs.
The draft also reportedly guarantees freedom of navigation in the Arabian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman — key global shipping routes that have remained under heightened tension in recent months.
Under the proposed mechanism, a joint committee would monitor implementation of the agreement and help resolve disputes. Negotiations on unresolved issues are expected to begin within seven days of the announcement.
The reported agreement also outlines a gradual lifting of US sanctions on Iran in exchange for Tehran’s commitment to the terms of the deal and compliance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
According to the circulating information, the agreement would come into effect immediately after official confirmation by both Washington and Tehran.
However, no official confirmation has yet been issued by the governments of the United States, Iran or Pakistan regarding the authenticity or final approval of the reported draft agreement.
