Mawlawi Mohammad Younis Rashid, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with Andrew Paul Saberton, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of the UN Population Fund.
Mr. Rashid expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the high-level UN delegation to Afghanistan, noting that it provided an opportunity to observe the country’s overall security situation, ongoing development efforts, and other positive changes.
He also expressed hope that the international community would increase its support for Afghan youth in the areas of education, training, capacity building, and health services.
Meanwhile, the UN Deputy Secretary-General assured that the United Nations would continue its operations in Afghanistan and work to present an accurate picture of the country to the international community.
