Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Qatar to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled to be held in Doha on 15 September 2025.

The Summit, co-sponsored by Pakistan, has been convened in response to recent Israeli airstrikes on Doha and the worsening situation in Palestine, including attempts to occupy Gaza, expand illegal settlements in the West Bank, and forcibly displace Palestinians. Heads of state, government leaders, and senior officials from OIC member countries are expected to participate.

The Summit will be preceded by a preparatory meeting of Foreign Ministers on 14 September, where Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan.

Pakistan has strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Qatar and other regional states. Earlier, on 11 September, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha and held discussions with the Qatari leadership, reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar and its commitment to peace, stability, and regional security.
