Pakistan, Afghanistan to Boost Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held wide-ranging talks with Acting Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, focusing on strengthening Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral relations.

The discussions covered a broad spectrum of issues, including security, trade, transit, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges. Both sides underscored the need for developing concrete strategies to enhance cooperation in these key areas of mutual interest.

Senator Dar stressed the critical importance of addressing all relevant challenges—particularly those related to security and border management—to unlock the region’s full potential for trade and connectivity.

Reaffirming their commitment to fostering close and mutually beneficial ties, both leaders agreed on the importance of sustaining high-level diplomatic engagement to further their shared objectives.
