Peshawar: Senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Samiul Haq Group), Maulana Abdul Haq Thani, has declared that the party will not be intimidated by martyrdoms and will instead turn the sacrifices of its leaders into fuel for the continuation of their mission.
Speaking at a central executive council meeting of JUI-S, Maulana Abdul Haq Thani said the entire party is mourning the martyrdom of its leader, Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani, but their resolve has only strengthened. “We are ready to confront our enemies and will remain steadfast in our ideology till our last breath,” he said.
He strongly criticized both federal and provincial governments for their “apathy” in tracking down the murderers of JUI-S leaders. “Just like the killers of Maulana Samiul Haq remain at large, the murderers of Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq are also yet to be apprehended — this is a matter of grave concern,” he added, demanding immediate arrests and public accountability.
Maulana Abdul Haq Thani also lauded the Pakistan Army for its successful operations against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces and will defeat the enemy on every front,” he emphasized.
Concluding his address, he announced that the party structure will be further strengthened in the aftermath of the martyrdom, ensuring the leadership’s mission continues with greater discipline and unity.
