Peshawar (Riaz Hussain):
Severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have resulted in the deaths of at least four people and injuries to ten others, including women and children, according to Rescue 1122.

Most of the damages were reported from the districts of Mohmand and Mardan.
Lightning Strikes Marble Mine in Mohmand
In Khanqah area of Safi Tehsil, Mohmand District, a lightning strike hit a marble mine, killing two men and injuring one. The injured was taken to Nawagai Tehsil Hospital, while the deceased were handed over to their families after legal formalities.
The deceased were identified as Meena Gul and Muhammad Rafiq from Khyber District, while the injured was Jameel Khan from Bajaur.
Roof Collapses in Mardan Cause Deaths
In Islamabad village, Tehsil Takht Bhai of Mardan District, a mother and daughter died when the roof of their house collapsed due to heavy rain. Their bodies were transported to the local THQ hospital.
In another incident in the same village, a wall collapsed during the rain, severely injuring a girl who was given first aid and taken to hospital.
More Injuries Reported
A 60-year-old woman named Hussain Badshah was injured when a wall collapsed in Qasmi area of Katlang.
Two children were injured in Akhun Baba due to a falling wall.
A 15-year-old, Abdul Salam, was injured on Chamdhery Road.
Three people were injured in Manga due to wall collapse.
A 38-year-old woman, Bakht Munir, was injured when a gate fell near Jabal Madrassa.
A 40-year-old woman was injured in Rustam Tehsil from another wall collapse.
All injured were provided initial medical treatment by Rescue 1122 and shifted to nearby hospitals.
Crops Damaged in Swat
Hailstorms in upper areas of Swat district damaged standing crops, causing concern for local farmers.
Road Blockages
In various parts of Mardan such as Rustam Palu Dheri, Bakhshali, and Dubai Adda, fallen trees blocked roads. Rescue teams and local residents are working to clear them.
Other Regions Affected
Heavy rainfall and storms also lashed Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas, damaging solar panels and rooftops. Rural areas of KP reported power outages and disruption of electricity supply.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, more storms and rain are expected in the coming days. Continuous rainfall has also been reported in Mansehra and surrounding areas in the Hazara Division.
